Our Story
From Ghanaian Roots to International Markets
Modern Floors & Walls® began its journey in Baatsonaa, along Spintex Road in Accra, Ghana, with a vision to transform how modern building finishing materials are sourced, supplied and experienced across African markets.
Through continuous product development, customer-focused service and strategic international expansion, the company has built a growing portfolio of innovative flooring, waterproofing and interior finishing solutions.
Today, our business connects international manufacturers and suppliers with African markets through an integrated procurement, distribution and retail network.

Our International Presence
Ghana — Our Foundation and Primary Market
Ghana remains the foundation of Modern Floors & Walls® and its primary retail and distribution market.
Operating through Modern Floors Enterprise, the company serves residential customers, contractors, property developers, commercial businesses and institutions.
Our Ghana operations include showroom and warehouse facilities, product distribution, corporate sales, customer support and product advisory services.
Our showroom presence includes Spintex Road and East Legon in Accra.
United Arab Emirates — International Procurement and Supply Hub
In December 2022, the business expanded into the United Arab Emirates through Basil Modern Floors and Walls L.L.C, incorporated in Dubai.
The UAE operation supports international procurement, global sourcing, supplier relationships, export coordination and business development.
Through its Dubai presence, the company strengthens its ability to coordinate supply chains and support its growing African distribution markets.
Kenya — East African Expansion
In September 2024, the company expanded into East Africa through MFW Global Ltd, incorporated in Kenya.
The Kenyan business supports the company’s regional market development, importation, product distribution and long-term expansion strategy.
Kenya serves as a strategic platform for developing Modern Floors & Walls® across East Africa and exploring opportunities in neighbouring markets.
A UK-Trademarked Brand
Modern Floors & Walls® continues to strengthen its international brand identity and intellectual property portfolio.
The MODERN FLOORS® trademark is registered in the United Kingdom under Registration No. UK00003741635, effective from 10 January 2022.
The registration covers selected flooring and floor-covering product categories, including vinyl flooring, laminate flooring, underlays and artificial grass products.
This achievement represents an important milestone in the development of a globally recognized African-owned building finishing brand.
